Abstract:
In Minas Gerais, Brazil, grows the Macaùba Palm. The fruits of this palm contain a lot of useful components. We made a business plan for the use of these components for the purification of water, food, charcoal and oil. The stakeholders in this project are: the woman in Minas Gerais participating in this project, the government of Brazil, women's rights organisations in Brazil, companies that produce biofuel and Piteba. This project is not only sustainable in a biological way, but also in a social and economic way. In our project we ensure that the smallholders will make profit after four months. This will provide them with an economic sustainble situation.
