Abstract:
The purpose of my experiment Hydro Power is to find out what amount of blades set to different pitch angles would produce the most DC Voltage. In order to test this experiment I had to set up: hydro powered turbine 12 inches away from the box fan that simulated water current, attach the multi-meter to the nacelle where the motor is located, fix blade number and angle, attach blades to the 12 point crimping hub, start the box fan, start the timer, check the multi-meter and take the average of the readings, record, then retest. The data that I concluded for my experiment varied widely among the average of DC volts recorded. The result of my experiment indicated that 3 blades set to a 25 degree angle produced the most DC voltage.
