Abstract:
Allergy is a form of disease which is caused by a hypersensitivity of the immune system to different kinds of allergens. It is called “black death” of the Third Millennium as it has become a global disease which is increasing rapidly. For this project we tried to gather information on pollens and some kind of allergic plants which grow in outskirts of Kutaisi. We also tried to estimate the number of students suffering from Pollinosis. Therefore our students filled in personal questionnaires concerning their health condition. We examined some allergic plants which are widely-spread in Kutaisi and estimated the approximate dates of their blossoming. We made a herbarium of these plants and drew up a chart of the statistics. Furthermore we went to see a special volumetric spore sampler “Bourkard” and had a chance to observe how this machine worked. After obtaining all necessary information the issued bulletins of how to pretend spreading Pollinosis nowadays and put them up on the notice-board.
