Abstract:
Intertwining the use of hand gestures for communication and advancement in computer technology the idea of a device is introduced that uses hand gesture recognition to enhance security standards. Clozer is a specifically designed household security device that aims to eliminate the communication gap between a person and the people whom he/she can rely on in emergencies such as a burglary, a medical emergency, or any other scenario that can/may occur. By using an HD camera, clozer uses embedded technology to capture the desired region of interest in real-time. It uses a "hand gesture recognition script" where clozer inputs the hand gestures. In a neural network, these hand gestures would be predefined. Everything is computed in a microprocessor, each hand gesture is programmed in Python to correspond to a serial number, against which is a phone number stored. Numbers stored include ambulances, the police, fire brigade, and other significant emergency contacts. There are many companies that offer similar surveillance services, but none of them has been as comprehensive as the Clozer. Not only is it a unique approach to manage a mature threat, but it also protects privacy from third-party service providers like security companies. While Clozer is a comprehensive solution to a potentially dangerous threat, it is only scratching the surface. To give a better understanding of what Clozer can be in the future, with better engineering and funding, Clozer can be equipped with different sensors to make it more accurate and reliable.
