Abstract:
This project focuses on problems caused by forest fires. After thorough researches on internet or other current programs, it is possible to observe a high number of forest fires occurrence. The forest fire generates several problems and losses to our environment as forest devastation, extinction of species, bad climate influences, changes in ecosystem and increasing possibility of erosion. Besides, there is emission of polluting gases into the atmosphere like CO2 which may result in respiratory problems for human beings and economic problems due to local devastation. The matter we should see in this project is the possibility of developing a low cost system using sensors which enables the detection of forest fire initiation and alerts the firefighters, informing the location and the ongoing situation . For this project’s development, bibliographic researches have been performed and interviews with experts in the environmental , programming and telecommunication fields have also been taken. The sizing of the system in real areas of fires occurrence have been accomplished. After tests, the project has been sent to the fire department that received it positively. Finally, the correct operation of prototype has been obtained, and through researches, conclusion is there is a possibility for this project implementation. Keywords: Forest fires. Environment. Alert.
