Abstract:
The goal of the experiment was to see if the bacteria found in coolers is dangerous or harmful. In this experiment four coolers were swabbed. The bacteria found was incubated for forty-eight hours at thirty-seven and twenty-five degrees Celsius. The two tests that took place after were gram stain and pure culture. After the test results were recorded.
The data that was collected showed promising results. Two of the microorganisms that were found are called staphylococcus and streptococcus. The results of the pure culture were all the same bacteria through all three sections of the plates.
The conclusion of this experiment is that bacteria in coolers does exist and can possibly grow something harmful. The bacteria that was found in just a couple samples is called streptococcus, staphylococcus, and an unknown pink type. The bacteria in the coolers are more likely to grow if you use the cooler more often.
