Abstract:
Our previous research on self-degradation bioplastic for baby diaper waste wrapping has been completed. So that in this study, my friend and I continued the research by adding variables such as measuring the molecular weight lost due to the degradation process in the polyethylene layer of diaper waste using Gel Permeation Chromatography, polyethylene topography after one year of degradation using Scanning Electron Microscopy and sequencing of whole genome bacteria for determine the species name of the bacteria. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that a sharp decrease in the molecular weight of polyethylene plastic wrapped by our self-degraded bioplastic is 39% number average and 64% average average weight. Then it is known that the SEM topography analysis occurs in many forms such as very deep valleys on polyethylene plastic, even showing large holes. Meanwhile, the results of sequencing can come out at the end of April 2021. Based on the results of comparisons with commercially plastic composite products, it is known that the degradation of polyethylene by our bioplastic occurs 2 times faster than other similar products.
