Abstract:
Blindness is a very crucial disability that affects most people worldwide. Born with a great grand mother who was blind, eight times had abortions during her youth due to being molested having culprits not identified , twice removed from a well pit, some community member used to steal from her. Travelling was difficult for her if she was left alone at home. Procedures: I computerized the walking stick using python programming language so that it can access google maps, scans people the user meets across automatically at a range of 100m for security reasons. I made the keeper in such a way that it can detect wet and muddy places. It also detects vehicles approaching at a range of 100m. Results: the keeper vibrates after detecting a vehicle approaching and detecting muddy or wet places, it is also speech synthesized as another way of communication. It saves data collected after scanning a person. Conclusion: the keeper will help a lot of blind people in terms of security , guidance and companionship
