Abstract:
Due to artificial methods including inorganic fertilizers used in farming, crops are not always safe for consuming as these consist of toxic materials causing diseases and pollution. Also, being expensive many farmers are unable to use them. So to overcome these problems usage of organic fertilizer should be implemented in agriculture for the production of healthy crops. Organic fertilizers results in proper growth and better yield of crops. This study aimed to examine the influence of Organic Liquid Fertilizer on crops. The materials used were gram flour, neem cake, jaggery, manure, water, fermenting tub, filtration tub and seedling trays. All the things were put into the fermenting tub and mixed well after pouring water. After fermentation and filtration, prepared fertilizer was given to particular seeds used in research. The cabbage and cauliflower, tomato and cabbage, wheat seeds were planted, after 30 days of providing fertilizer these seeds were observed and results were compared with the plants of chemical fertilizer and off the shelf organic fertilizers. The soil porosity, yield, the differences in the growth of plants length and root length, structure of roots and the market prices were studied. The study and observations showed that the plants that were provided Organic Liquid Fertilizer were better than those that were provided with other fertilizers. It can also be concluded that Organic Liquid Fertilizer can be used on industrial basis and can be prepared on large scale and it is proved to be eco friendly and cheap. It improves the yield of crops, makes it healthier to consume, reducing environmental issues. They are safer alternatives to chemical fertilizer
