Abstract:
Through the use of Forensics Science, I developed a procedure that would allow me to test the hemoglobin in beef blood for possible false positives and false negatives. Using peroxidases and antioxidants in common household foods and beverages, I analyzed the accuracy of four forensics tests: the Kastle-Meyer, the Leucomalachite Green, and the Luminol assays. After the first stages of simple testing, I added different amount of antioxidants on beef blood. The results reflect back to possible hindrances in forensics investigations.
