Abstract:
The problems in communication and broadcasting of information that have sprung in the Educational Institution Ángela Restrepo Moreno are due to the inadecuacy of the space and the deficient sound system that it has. We there find lacks that vary from the lack of attention on the part of the students when they have to attend a formation process to receive everyday information to important aspects that are due to the distortion of the data provided by the Board of directors of the Institution.
The most viable solution to this problem was the creation of the AMI (Institutional Mobile Application), developed for iOS and Android, with the objective of generating an adoptable, efficient and economic tool which usefully serves as a media of communication between the Board of directors, the students and the community in general, with the added value of being interactive.
This alternative was arrived at carrying out a survey amongst students and having an interview with the Board of directors and teachers, with the purpose of confirming the hypothesis of the actual problems and their possible solution, looking into their opinion about the access of the students to a grading system to make them aware of their academic processes. Besides, a workshop was created, with the aim of supporting and fostering the project in the future, fed by the App and the social networks that the institution has, incorporating new ideas so that this project has a wider reach in terms of communication and education. We must add that this workshop is made up of a leading teacher and students from all the levels of secondary school, being thus an auto-sustainable project.
