Abstract:
Safety bracelet is a device used to prevent people loss and reduce facing danger. Any person can use it including children, special needs. and elderly.
It consists of two parts, the bracelet that the person wears on the wrist, connected to an application on the Smartphone of the responsible person which allows him to take the suitable steps if he feels that the wearer is in danger.
This bracelet analyzes the physiological and psychological state of the wearer including heart rate and temperature and can detect if there is a seizure, and analyzes the surrounding voices through a microphone. In case of realizing danger the responsible person can see the wearer's situation by hearing his voice and seeing pictures of him and his surroundings. This bracelet is connected to the police through a system that can warn the police when necessary.
It can be used to follow the wearer's location, and to set certain distance and locations that the wearer shouldn't cross beyond. Hence, if the wearer goes away from these specifies and faces danger, the bracelet automatically alerts the responsible person.
The sample selection was purposive sample. Through a questionnaire that was distributed to parents of different segments in the neighborhoods of Ramallah city, i found that 32% of parents suffered that one of their sons was lost and 86% think that this bracelet will ensure the safety of their children; and that they would accept to have and acquire it.
The safety bracelet prevents its wearers from loss and helps identify the danger situations and dealing with it.
