Abstract:
Computer use has become an essential of everyday life, as they are used throughout most modern industries such as banks, factories, schools, stores, emergency services, military, and government systems, computers are now relied on to complete crucial tasks. These tasks consistently involve personal information such as names, dates of birth, addresses, credit card numbers, and bank account numbers, it is this personal information that motivates criminals to exploit devices and steal information to use fraudulently. In the first six months of 2016, on average there were 3,046,456 data records stolen or lost daily. These statistics bode an increasing problem of security, thus the motivation behind the program I have developed in order to secure Windows devices. The program utilizes basic commands that are cross compatible with other various scripting languages and is easy for the everyday person to understand. The program is able to efficiently and effectively modify and secure a device. In conclusion the program has proven to be an effective solution to the security needs of the general public. I believe that devices can never be 100% secure, but I believe this program has the ability to bring devices closer to becoming secure.
