Abstract:
The aim of this study was to combat termites by finding alternatives to chemical pesticides by making extracts from plant origins: alfalfa, neem, arak, basil and several types of solvents: water, cold acetone, hot acetone and hexane. The process of distillation in a special extraction device and then exposing a number of termite workers to the different plant extracts in the Petri dishes in tact and nutrition. The results of the project indicate that the mortality rate in termites is due to the plant extracts of water%, while the rate of the affected with extracts 100-93.3% between 50% and 100 concentration and affected the plant extracts of hexane affected the control of 100-83% Estonian between 50% 25% in the different concentrations 100-73 with mortality rates ranging between termites.
