Abstract:
Since 2008, Non-Conventional Food Plants (PANCs) have been gaining more space and even popularity, through several studies. From research on digital applications as a means of scientific dissemination, and among them a specific approach to PANCs, a gap was noticed. Because of this, the definition of the theme stems from the importance and need to disseminate information about these plants based on some questions, such as: how is it possible to broaden the scientific dissemination of PANCs using digital resources? How can an application contribute to the recognition of its multiple forms of use? How can an app about PANCs present technical information to users, but with a language accessible to different audiences for free? In this sense, APPANC aims to promote the dissemination of information about PANCs, besides demonstrating different ways to (re)know these plants; and even more, to encourage their different ways of daily use in cooking and phytotherapy. For its development, we used the free website Application Factory, FABapp. After the creation of the application, the research in progress is in the phase of disclosure for user interaction with the APPANC, to later be accessible in the application stores. It is believed that APPANC can narrow the relationship between technologies and scientific dissemination through a technical language, accessible and easy to understand by users, making it strategic in the rescue for the (re)knowledge and valorization of these plants in the food and also a phytotherapeutic sphere.
