Abstract:
The educational system within Zimbabwe is unparallel such that those which are economically privileged can access educational resources such as textbooks which approximately cost $12 each and those less privileged cannot. This has evidently proven drastic to these marginalized communities due to the national examination pass rates (ZIMSEC) produced by them which lie between 40-50% which means 4 out of every 5 children within these schools fail their examinations. Currently book donations are being done but only 3 out of every 25 students benefit. This project is going to provide a solution that seeks to leverage the low-cost mobile technology that people have owing to Zimbabwe having a mobile penetration rate of 96,45%. The proposed solution is an artificially intelligent automated 24/7 service SMS bot which provides educational content using text messages or text modules.
