Abstract:
We created an encryption software for encryption of personal files. We started our work with online questionnaire so we could have base requirements for our software. At the same time we studied where people would commonly encounter encryption and which type of encryption algorithms they use. We also clarified why would they use encryption and why it is important. We examined several encryption algorithms like AES, DES and Triple DES. In addition we examined ten separate encryption softwares for their algorithms. We asked enthusiasts to tell their opinion on encryption algorithms. We came to the conclusion that AES is at the moment the best solution for encrypting files with an encryption software and SHA is the best hashalgorithm for hashing passwords and keys. We also discovered that most enthusiasts want to encrypt their files. Our software has its basic features ready. It can encrypt and decrypt files without any problems and it supports all filesystems. It has a graphical interface that is easy to use. Encryption and decryption processes will be made faster by optimizing the code.
