Abstract:
Parking spaces for disabled people are being prepared and made ready for physically disabled and wheelchair bound road users. However, the facility is commonly misused and abused by the community. The parking spaces for the disabled people can be seen almost at all public places such as clinics, hospitals, post offices and banks. This shows that these public places are easily accessible to them as they can park their vehicles accordingly without difficulty. Nevertheless, there are selfish individuals who abuse this facility and thus make the disabled people go through all the hassles to find a parking spot. A proactive measure is taken by introducing an innovation known as 'Intelligent Disabled Parking Lot Detector' to halt the misuse and misconduct of the facility provided to the disabled. This product can automatically detect when a parking space for the disabled people is being misused without relying on human labor for 24 hours. Furthermore, this innovation is in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution in terms of monitoring and automatic 24 hour prevention. This product applies the MFRC-522 RFID Radio Frequency IC Card Inducing Sensor Reader for Adruino that comes along with an ultrasonic sensor and buzzer.
