Abstract:
This project proposes a three-compartment trash can designed to separate waste at the point of disposal. General waste, food waste, and processed animal feed are collected in separate sections to improve waste management efficiency. Food waste is diverted from landfills and transported to a government-managed facility where it is safely processed into animal feed for cats, dogs, and birds. By promoting waste segregation and reuse, the system reduces food waste, supports a circular economy, and encourages sustainable disposal behavior.
